Terms of Service
Payments
When signing up for our service, customers will be asked to provide their bank details through our secure sign-up form.
All payments are processed automatically via GoCardless, providing a safe and convenient payment system. This allows The Bin Kings to collect payments automatically once a cleaning service has been completed.
Customers are responsible for ensuring their payment details remain valid and up to date. Any failed payments may result in the suspension of services until the outstanding balance has been settled.
Minimum Service Commitment & Cancellation
Our regular service requires a minimum commitment of 12 cleans.
Customers wishing to cancel their service must submit a request via our official cancellation request form.
If a customer cancels their service before completing the minimum 12 cleans, an early termination fee will apply.
• Minimum commitment: 12 cleans
• Monthly service fee: £18.00
The early termination fee will be calculated as the remaining balance required to complete the 12-clean commitment.
Any outstanding balance on the customer's account must be settled within 14 days of the cancellation date.
All customers are protected under the Consumer Rights Act, which provides a 14-day cooling-off period, provided the service has not yet been carried out.
Access to Bins
Customers must ensure that their bins are clearly visible and accessible for cleaning.
We recommend leaving bins out at the front of the property after collection day so they can be cleaned the following day.
Where possible, our team will use reasonable judgement and may retrieve bins from the side of the property if they are easily accessible.
However, if bins cannot be located or accessed and nobody is available to assist, the clean may not be completed and the service charge will still apply.
Missed Bin Collections
Our cleaning service operates based on the assumption that your bins have been emptied by the local council prior to cleaning.
If your bin has not been emptied by the council, we may be unable to clean it during that scheduled visit.
In such cases, we will attempt to return during the next available cleaning cycle, but this cannot always be guaranteed.
Heavily Soiled or Contaminated Bins
While we aim to restore bins to a high standard, some bins may contain excessive contamination that cannot be fully removed in a single clean.
Examples include but are not limited to:
• Paint
• Oils or chemicals
• Concrete or building materials
• Animal waste in large quantities
• Sharps or hazardous materials
The Bin Kings reserve the right to refuse cleaning services if a bin is considered unsafe or hazardous.
Service Delays
Occasionally, services may be delayed due to circumstances outside our control, including:
• Severe weather conditions
• Vehicle breakdown or equipment failure
• Staff illness
• Operational scheduling changes
If this occurs, your clean will be rescheduled to the next available service date.
Bin Damage
The Bin Kings take great care when handling customers' bins.
However, we cannot accept responsibility for existing damage, wear and tear, or structural weaknesses in bins or stickers that are weak that may result in further damage during normal handling or cleaning.
Service Satisfaction
Customer satisfaction is important to us.
If you are not satisfied with the result of your bin clean, please contact us within 24 hours of the service being completed and provide clear photos showing both the inside and outside of the bin.
Once reviewed, we will either:
• Arrange a re-clean, or
• Provide a refund for that cleaning cycle
Complaints submitted after 24 hours may not be eligible for a refund or re-clean, as the condition of the bin may have changed after use.
Changes to Service
The Bin Kings reserve the right to make reasonable changes to service schedules, routes or pricing where necessary. Customers will be given reasonable notice of any significant changes.
