Why Should I Get My Bins Cleaned?
Your wheelie bin can become a prime environment for bacterial growth. Consider everything you place inside over a fortnight and the residues left behind even after it has been emptied:
Food scraps, both raw and cooked
Pet waste
Soiled nappies
Used tissues and other paper materials
Contents of your vacuum cleaner
Non-recyclable food cartons, such as takeaway containers
Damp, old newspapers and magazines
Garden waste and clippings
This list is by no means exhaustive. Despite items being bagged, any leakage can accumulate at the base of the bin, creating an ideal breeding ground for harmful bacteria, especially when left for two weeks or more.
An unclean wheelie bin not only produces unpleasant odours but also attracts vermin, encourages fly infestations, and quickly poses a significant health risk just outside your home.
Do I Need To Be At Home?
You don’t need to be at home during the cleaning process – simply make sure the bins are easily accessible and clearly visible. We bring all the necessary equipment with us to efficiently complete the job, and once we’ve finished, the only indication that we were there will be a thoroughly cleaned, fresh smelling bins.
How Often Should I Have My Bin Cleaned?
We recommend our four-weekly service to ensure your bins remain as fresh and germ-free as possible.
