War Memorial In Penn
We were deeply honoured to see the write-up in the Bucks Free Press about the cleaning of the war memorial in Penn.
We first saw the memorial on the way to our bin cleaning round in Penn, we couldnt help but notice how badly covered in heavy moss and grime it was. This didn’t sit right with us. This isn’t just stone. It carries the names of local men & woman who never came home. Sons. Brothers. Fathers. People from our own community who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Standing there whilst cleaning it in the rain, reading the names, you can’t help but pause. You can’t help but feel the weight of it.
We didn’t do it for recognition. We didn’t do it for publicity. We did it because remembrance deserves dignity. Because those names deserve to be seen clearly. Because respect matters.
If our small effort helps even one person stop, reflect, and remember — then it was worth every second.
Thank you to everyone who has sent kind messages. Community pride is powerful, and together we can make sure places like this are never forgotten.
Lest we forget. The Bin Kings.
